I'm still here...

...well, not in Denmark, but alive and able to type. I really felt ragged after the trip, but am feeling much better now. I took a disposable camera with me and I'm having the film developed to a CD so I hope I can post some pictures with a little report of nice things I did while I was there. Unfortunately I didn't discover the directions for using the flash until I was near the end of the roll, so I don't know how the pictures turned out. We'll soon see.

One thing that I've always thought would be great about being a mom is that children just get older. After a month they are a month old. After 10 years they are ten-year-olds. This doesn't apply to other things, like theses and blogs, which, if you neglect them, just sit there and don't grow. Here is a picture from the ultrasound scan.

According to the best guess of technology and Professor Goldstein at the hospital, Juju (as she is currently know) is a girl! This picture shows her head and part of her body down to her arm. She's in profile, facing up and sucking her thumb. Poor thing, never even seen the light of day, and she's had her parents and two strangers examining (not to mention measuring and having opinions about) her brain, femur, heart and other organs and parts. Can a person have some peace and privacy to grow their lungs and tripple in size please!!!
